Fees and Insurance
My fee is currently $220 per session. Sessions are usually held at a regular time once each week, though some clients come twice each week.
I do not accept insurance for payment, and I am not in-network with any health insurance plans. However, if you have out-of-network benefits, I could give you a completed, standard, Health Insurance Claim Form at the end of each month that you could submit to your insurance carrier for reimbursement. You should first check to make sure:
- whether you have out-of-network benefits (which means that you can be reimbursed for seeing a provider who does not participate in your plan),
- what your deductible is,
- what percentage of the fee they will reimburse,
- how may sessions they cover, and
- whether you need approval first.
Please note that while insurance companies do not reimburse for marriage counseling, they do reimburse for sessions that help the individual partners deal with the problems created by marital stress.
If you do not have out-of-network benefits and are unable to pay my full fee, I would be willing to discuss moderating my fee at an initial consultation. If we were unable to find a fee that was workable for both of us, I would not charge you for the consultation, and I would try to make a suggestion for another therapist.
